Creativity and Our Role as Writers

Posted in Keep on Truckin', Life, Writing, progress | No Comments »

I apologize for the size of this video (I couldn’t get youtube to behave). But I just had to share. This TED talk with Elizabeth Gilbert has been my saving grace a number of times. I feel every creative person should watch it. How do you feel about your role in the creative process?

DONE! Next Step- THE EDITOR!

Revisions are complete.  Yes done.  This was the 4th total pass of the manuscript.  It’s as good as I can get it for now.  I’m excited to send it off to the editor who was interested in it.  It’s now worthy of her review. :)

I am going to read it one last time for issues.  And then out the door it will go.  :)

Struggling but Maintaining

Just an update.  I’ve been struggling on little sleep for the past few days.  Little kids can do that, keep you up most of the night, that is.  :)

But I’m maintaining my goal of 5 pages rewritten each day.  Today I plan to add 5 more.  Slowly but surely this novel will be completed.  I’m just taking it one day at a time and not looking too far ahead.  I think if I looked at the big picture now I’d get scared and run away.

So for now, I’m plugging away at it.  I’ll keep you all posted on my progress!  :)
