I’ve always wanted to write.  I remember reading the Little House books and wanting to be Laura Ingalls Wilder.  I wanted to write.  I actually remember mentioning it in 5th grade when the teacher asked everyone what they would like to be when they grew up.  I got shot down.  “It’s too hard to be a writer”  was the response, not from the teacher but from a student.  That was the first of many, “you can’t do that”.

But here I am, having overcome everyone else telling me not to do something.  I love writing.  And I love it because it’s tough.  And fun.  And fulfilling.

I’ve studied the craft of writing for over 10 years.  But it wasn’t until I found a writing community online, RomanceDivas.com that I started to actually write.   Seeing others accomplish the dream spurred me into action.  I’ve been able to call myself a writer since 2006.  I have some flash fiction published online.  I have one completed SF novella that will never see the light of day.  I enjoy writing for tweens.  I have a MG novel for boys, a time travel fantasy, completed and am currently working on a contemporary YA for geared toward boys and girls.
